Everything I loved in 2024
A love letter to the brands and products I tried and reached for, time and time again
2024 was a year of BANGERS when it came to beauty launches, finding my go-to style, and honing in on good shit only. Here’s a list of things I adored last year and a lil explanation why:
The Rich Girl Trifecta

Honestly does not need a description but I’ll give you one anyway ;) I woke up one morning and had the idea to combine 3 of my favorite scents (each giving rich girl energy in their own right) and accidentally came up with the most lethal combo of all time. Since starting to combine the 3, I have not been able to wear anything else. The trifecta includes:
Rhode Pocket Blush
This was a late discovery but when I tell you I reach for it every single time I do my makeup now…I have the shade freckle. It’s perfect. It also gets slightly dewy as the day goes on (not in a greasy way), and it reflects off of light so well. Idk I just love it and honestly should buy in more shades now that I think of it…
Gap CashSoft aka “cashmere” lounge set
If I could only have one “cozy” lounge set in my closet, this would be it. The cable knit pattern in combo with a cashmere feel is just to dieeeee and tbh it’s softer than most of my other clothing. Gap is on there RISE. You heard it here first.
Elisa Johnson glasses in JANE (mini)
Is there anything more chic than a tinted frame? What about one that fits your face perfectly and airs on the side of “undersized”? There’s something to effortless and cool girl about the brown tint on these, and I found myself creating looks around the glasses. That’s when you know.
The only hair clips you need
Growing up, I used to make fun of my mom for always having a clip in her hair. Ironic that that is now me. These crown affair mini clips pack a serious punch - just one tiny clip can take my whole head of hair out of my face and keep it there. Like did NASA engineeers construct them? Probably
This is what my home smells like
I’ll do and buy just about anything to make my home smell and look nicer. Investing in (and researching) my home’s signature scent was one of my favorite journeys I went on this year. We landed on the Mandarin Basile from Homecourt. It’s just sexy and effortless and easy and reminds me of what an old Spanish home in Pasadena would smell like. I absolutely adore it. Oh and the scent also comes in cleaning products so all of a sudden I am Martha Stewart.
Ring(s) I don’t take off
I went back and forth for almost a year about whether or not I needed a Spinelli Kilcollin ring. If I’m being COMPLETELY honest, you can probably find a dupe (see: Dupe Loop Theory), but the Silver Raneth was under $400 and I went for it. Glad I did because I wear it every single day. It edges up an outfit an in honest way, and has these spiny interlocking things that are lowkey great if you had ADHD lol. Love this.
Bodywash that improves shower time
I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to a body wash until Necessaire launched the Olibanum scent. It originally got sent to me in PR and I’ve since purchased everything in the scent profile. It’s perfectly warm, amber, delicious and has the same beautiful lather we know and love form their body washes. Only complaint is they don’t make this in a perfume. Necessaire if you’r reading this, I just want to talk…
xx,
Rachel
